This is so vulnerable and raw like all your writings, and whilst I couldn't relate to everything, I found solace in being able to relate to pieces and feel less alone
Chanel, I appreciate your raw honesty here. So much of your story I can relate to. I have 5 kids, and pregnancy has been hard on both my body and my brain. My youngest is 4 (I am 43) and I'm still not totally through the postpartum fog that almost took my life.
My faith has changed, too. It's a funny thing when you find yourself in an uncertain place - or, as my spiritual director puts it, "walking on the uncertain surfaces" - and you just have to start at the beginning of it all. That's pretty much my story of motherhood and identity.
