To be brief: I’m looking for some guest posts to share here for February and maybe March to lessen my load and give my readers (like you) new voices.
Length: Could be between 700-1,000 words
Prompts: Showcase the complexity of motherhood, talk about motherhood and mental health, or a difficult conversation you’ve had with your child. I love stories that don’t have simple endings.
Audience: We have a lot of mothers here and I’m interested in submissions from mothers, to give them a voice to express complex or difficult topics.
To submit your original piece or chat with me about an idea, send me a dm on Substack or email hello@chanelriggle.com
In the past, I’ve only had guest authors appear on Motherhood Minute to discuss mental health (see the mental health tab!) but I want to open this up a bit to hear stories of mothers reflecting on their lives right now.
If you’ve been in this community a while, I’m sure you can tell that I enjoy writing about the times motherhood has been both joyful and difficult to process. God has truly shown me a lot in the small, mundane moments. Those are the moments you also reach out to say “yes, I feel this too right now.”
So what would you like to share? Please browse my past topics and reach out with your own. I’d like to share your writing with moms who may have a different experience than my own.

How acknowledging matrescence will transform your creative practice
Why rest and creativity are two sides of the same coin
Specific methods for regulation
A bunch of suggestions on how to adapt your writing practice in the context of motherhood (not in spite of it!
Hi! Quick question, does it have to be brand new or can it be a previously published piece ?
