This piece prompted me to think about my own experience of early motherhood first time round, Chanel. And the very different experience I had after my second daughter was born. Oh, the shame and uncertainty... It was rough looking around me and thinking how all those older mothers had it sussed. They most likely didn't, of course...
I’m sorry it was rough. This is one reason I’m looking forward to hearing from Zoe about her postpartum experiences as well and how she created space for herself and others
So important to banish shame from early motherhood and sometimes it's other mothers who can be the most unkind to one another... Looking forward to this.x
I can’t wait for this!! I’d love to connect with you more too on doing a collab one day (not ready for a podcast just yet haha) but maybe we can do something in the later part of spring if interested!
Feel free to email me your contact information and what topics you're passionate about at hello@chanelriggle.com and I will add you to my future collaboration list! We don't have to record. We can have you guest write something as well for Motherhood Minute
It's ironic - sometimes, we try so hard to make a go at something and it. just. does. not. move. and then unexpectedly, one day, it's open doors, and you're like "oh, this is it. This is the time."
Oh yes! I had about five pages of a project on this topic and then I realized I’d like to speak with women about it. I honestly didn’t think anyone would reply and then I woke up to ten emails. It made me reflect on the day we opened the registration for the first Tirzah In The Word Facebook group. I drove over the bridge crying and praying with rejoicing how God opened those doors to women all over. Who am I? I love moments where he so pointedly reminds me that He is there.
I love this concept! Looking forward to hearing from these women ❣️
Is there anyone in particular you’re keen to hear from?
All voices!
