I love this list! I did not enjoy the pumpkin patch last year either.

Thank you for sharing, Amy! I am going to brave it this year, but I am also firmly saying no to many outings this holiday season.

Love this list Chanel. I would add

--don't worry about carving pumpkins with little ones--just paint them or glue stuff on.

--bring the pumpkin patch to a play date, we did this when my 2nd kiddo was a baby. We brought some pumpkins and a hay bail to a park with the daycare class. You get the pictures and feel without the crowds. We also did an at home version during Covid-bake or buy apple cider donuts and serve a hot beverage, everyone brings a pumpkin. It's more intimate and more fun.

--Love the scenic drive, we do a decoration tour, find a neighborhood with good halloween decorations and go for a walk or a drive

We love painting pumpkins. I appreciated how my friend had people over one year to let the babies paint them.

As a tired mom I really appreciate this list! With limited time/energy and feeling at capacity 24/7 fall bucket lists often feel like added pressure and another standard for how I'm not measuring up. I've tried to shift the focus onto how making the memories feels rather than how they look. Do we feel happy/ excited/relaxed/cozy? Rather than does it look relaxed/cozy/happy etc. Happy weekend outings for us are simple these days, a trip to the park and local coffee shop maybe well add a blanket and some crafts or fall treats to the mix. I think we are also painting over carving this year and having friends over for halloween instead of going trick or treating. Love this list thank you! We also do fun family fridays and we eat in the livingroom and pick a show to watch together, we've been enjoying non spooky shows like Coco and the hotel translyvania movies

I love Coco! I’m also with you on simple park days. Funny how simple fall cookies at a regularly visited park can feel like a big difference with minimal effort.

Ahhhh yes. The simple things are so much better. I love cozy, no frills activities. We are very into rocks here… haha.
