I really love when a newsletter pops into my inbox and supplies me with a list of links that person found themselves wanting to share. Often my phone’s chrome tabs have tons of links I leave open and forget to share or discuss.
For your consideration, here is what I’ve been reading.
Links to save for later:
In this Fortune article, “The Steep Cost of Success,” we get a look at how many executive women in the workforce are still not sharing their use of hired-help. While I could relate to some core things about this, it felt like a huge piece was missing: A good portion of women aren’t in positions where they can afford any or little amounts of paid help.
“Get Ready For Thaw-And-Eat Foods” I can’t help but chuckle at this link because the truth can hurt. I am eating more frozen foods (to an extent.) How do we manage the guilt and the need for easier meal times as parents?
I don’t know but for myself it’s a lot of frozen ingredients not frozen meals. Less tv dinners and more frozen veggies. Less homemade breaded chicken breasts and more frozen chicken nuggets as a protein with a side of fresh veggies. Here is another read from the Axios newsletter I get that touches on topics of how COVID may have changed teenage brains like trauma has done.
On substack I’ve had some good reads as well. Please note that sharing articles is not the same as 100% agreeing with everything read! Feels odd having to say that but that is the world we live in.
A piece that talks about romanticizing how Europeans drink alcohol and the dangers behind that rationale.
A good look at different things that may affect your hormonal health.
I have really enjoyed the topics between Sarah and Claire online about motherhood and creativity. Please follow their Substacks for more!
Be sure to share your favorite reads in the comments so I can continue to enjoy new materials on my lunch breaks!
Thanks for the mention Chanel. I like it when people recommend others too. I find week days are quieter on here and at the weekend I have too much to read so always appreciate a mid week read and recommendation. 📖✨🙌🏻
Thanks for the shout out Chanel. 🥰 And for what it's worth we are eating VERY imperfectly over here. I would say from where I'm at I consider frozen veggies a parenting gold. 🌟
