Announcing A New Series: Nurturing Spaces
Conversations on building community in motherhood, online and in person
Welcome to Motherhood Minute, a newsletter for mothers who need a quick read in under 6 minutes. We explore topics of mental health, motherhood, work, and all of the ways in which parenthood meshes with life as it is.
After a wonderful Mental Health series this fall, I wanted to start 2024 with a fresh look at the core of Motherhood Minute, which is a space I created for myself and for mothers like me who are seeking community.
In the past year, I also started experimenting with the podcast medium again, which is titled “In This Season.”
I can finally say the pieces are set to bring these two pathways together into one series of conversations. I hope you will join me this spring with "Nurturing Spaces: Building Community In Motherhood.”
What to expect:
I’m not keen to rush this series as much as I did with the Mental Health series, but I do have the bones ready. As a subscriber (free or paid!), you can expect to hear interviews with women who are compelled to create spaces in-person or virtually for mothers.
We are going to discuss:
Cultivating Supportive Motherhood Spaces
Exploring Digital and In-Person Connections
Sustaining Motherhood Communities Across Seasons
Ways to Build Community In Your Season
You can also expect to have this podcast posted on Spotify and Substack, have transcripts provided, and the welcome conversations with mothers in this digital space.
Between podcast, I’ll be looking at our podcast episodes with more depth to keep the topic open for readers. Will you join us? You don’t need to do anything but subscribe to get the updates in email or from the Substack app.
P.S. - If you have already reached out via email (hello@chanelriggle.com) to inquire scheduling for this podcast series, please give me time to reply. Friday was a bit crazy but I’m getting them all responded to!
What’s going on with me?
God has been peeling back the layers of my self and it has been a PROCESS. I’ve been sharing more vulnerably on Notes than I have in the past.
I’ve also been partaking in
“Writing for Better Physical and Mental Health” course this month and preparing for her upcoming one called “Memoir In A Month.” It’s been a lovely break between work, therapy, and having my toddler look me dead in the eyes and say, “you need to be patient.”In addition I’m adding ten more TMS treatments that will hopefully help the lingering anxiety I hold as I wean off of my depression medication. Prayers for my pain and my mental health journey in this season!
What a lovely idea!
Sending you prayers and love for your future TMS treatments.
I’m a mom but an empty nester. Letting my daughter go was just one more painful, confusing piece to motherhood, but I adapted.
Let’s support all mothers no matter what phase they’re in.
